Based on the videos being suggested I think some of you need to read this:

par·o·dy (păr'ə-dē)

1. a) A literary or artistic work that imitates the characteristic style of an author or a work for comic effect or ridicule.
b) The genre of literature comprising such works.
2. Something so bad as to be equivalent to intentional mockery; a travesty: The trial was a parody of justice.

Just out of curiosity...what exactly is this parodying?

The original song meaning and its lyrics mostly.

Also the anime itself since it keeps the focus on Kyon's view of things instead of just being a 50/50 shipping comedy video. Though pretty much all plot-altering AMVs can be seen as parody AMVs in some way IMO.

hrrhrr you could even say it's parodying gay fucking japanese society where some sect of rejects act like they got their johns cut off.

in fact every amv does that!! (not too say that they're all gay) Once again this category makes no sense, as do many of the other ones!! let's call these lip sync videos or trailers or comedies or dramas or whatever the hell, this category makes no sense, it's meaningless why do we need it?
