MP4 File Dissapearing after encoding is complete

MP4 File Dissapearing after encoding is complete
ok so i throw the AVS file in zarx and such like i have been doing on my desktop but after it says that the encoding is complete the file goes missing and when i search for it its not there i tryed saving it to my desktop but while its encoding i can see the file, once it finishes the file dissapears D: i installed amv app and also have the combined community codec pack but im not completely sure whats wrong if its a codec issue or my computer

To get the best quality i suggest you bring the Preset to Insane and Quantizer to One

I had this problem to on my vista but then l downloaded the new zarx, it stayed in the spot l made it in.
The site doesnt work for me now where l got it ;/.

yes when i couldnt find where it went i tryed to save it to my desktop but it was gone after conversion.

Also a thing: if you have a # in your filename (I think that was the symbol, yeah...), it won't save anyway due to a mp4box issue or something like that, IIRC.

In the file destination area, did you remember to type .mp4 after the title?
If you didn't, then it will just appear as a Unrecognized File that looks like a white Page Icon.
Just wondering if that's a possibility. If that is the case, however, then you might wanna try putting a .mp4 at the end of the file.
I remember looking for my files when I originally started doing it and couldn't find them. Then I found a file that was just like I described above that was named the same and it was about 50 megs or so. Then I remembered and put .mp4 at the end of the name and Boom, turned into a VLC file.
Anyway, just thought I would try and help. Sorry if this topic is rather old.

i did it the same way i encoded mp4s on my desktop wich has XP but on vista the files dont show up at all not even as blank pages or w.e u said they just arent there at all D:

in vista u have to run zarx264gui as administrator
