Anyone like these guys? Some pure, melodic/prog. metal here! Awesome stuff and I highly recommend 'em to anyone. I've been listening to A LOT of Iced Earth and Nevermore lately. AMAZING bands! I love 'em!

Ooooh, Iced Earth! I own their newest album, Horror Show, and I love it. As far as other music goes, I listen to pretty much anything. I'm sort of strange that way. I mean right now, as I'm typing this, I'm listening to Mindless Self Indulgence. That band is a genre into and of themselves. Ya know, out of that whole list I only saw 2 metal bands there. (Metallica and Megadeth)
I like some of the bands you listed, but not a huge fan of alternative.

Indeed. Ace of Base isn't bad at all. And right now, kthulhu has 1111 posts.

Nevermore is pretty awesome. If you think that seven-string guitars mean dreadlocks and whiny lyrics, you need a quick spin around _Dead Heart In A Dead World_, aka the Jeff Loomis Digital Clinic on Heavy Guitar. He's filled Pat (Cannibal Corpse) O'Brian's shoes pretty nicely.

Filled Pat's shoes.....dude, I've been following corpse for 2 years now and they've been with Pat since Gallery, and Jeff wasn't one of their older guitarists either. *Heads to CC site*
Blind Guardian is pretty awesome, haven't heard Demons and Wizards yet. Sounds interesting, but it seems like Jon Schaffer is doing all the writing and unless he takes a different approach than he does with Iced Earth, I wont find much in the music.
