Blood: The Last Vampire...live action movie, wtf!
I was browsing through upcoming movies on the yahoo movie section when i suddenly saw this
http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1809823947/info
still trying to figure out how i missed this, it's due to come out july 10th and I had never heard of even it being put into production. anyway, i'm daring to hope that this might actually be a good movie, i did enjoy kiss of the dragon (same director). It's a limited release so it probably won't be showing near me, but i should be able to find it somewhere.
Btw, to those who may not be familiar with this there is a "Blood: The last Vampire" anime movie that was made a while back, it was one of the first anime movies i saw and i really liked it. Then the series "Blood+" game out several years ago which was a prequel/alternate telling of the movie. I'll be wanting to see how the live action movie compares to the animated originals.
any thoughts on this?

Re: Blood: The Last Vampire...live action movie, wtf!
Blood: The Last Vampire was the prequel to Blood+; not the other way around. Or it could just be viewed as an alternate telling in general. (Last is set in 1960 whereas Blood+ was set in '05.)
Regardless, I've been hoping this movie would turn out well. It'd be nice to actually have a live action movie based on an anime that I can actually like, you know? >_>;

Blood: The Last Vampire Live-Action movie
So, I guess they decided to make a live-action B:TLV movie. From what I see, it looks kick ass. Take a look for yourself.

Some of the scenes look exactly alike and there's a few newer scenes. Are you guys excited or don't really care? Do you think it'll turn out better than the anime?
The problem for me is that, I wouldn't be able to get in without my mom since it's rated R, and I doubt she'd want to see it along with my sister. I need to see it |:
Prepare yourself on July 10th :)

Some of it looked really nice, but some of it looked like alot of the same bullshit crouching tiger hidden dragon was. It looks very unrealistic.
And to borrow from a tube commenter: "Ok, it works as a manga, but a chick in a sailor school uniform running around with a katana looks cheap."

I haven't seen the anime, but seeing the live action movie trailer makes me wanna watch the anime and the movie too.
It looks pretty cool ;D. But too bad it's rated R, because I can't watch it D: (only 14).. and I doubt my mom or brother would wanna watch it lmao.
But to be able to understand it better, do you have to watch the anime first ? o__o

Nope. The anime is exactly like the movie, just in different forms. I'd watch the anime first, since the movie contains more scene and I think it would be somewhat more enjoyable, being as how to anime wasn't that great.

I don't see why it wouldn't be R, either. Blood was never meant to be lowerhasteroth wrote:Wonder wut the Canadian rating is :3
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Well there are more than a few movies that were rated R in America but 14A in Canada.Otohiko wrote:I don't see why it wouldn't be R, either. Blood was never meant to be lowerhasteroth wrote:Wonder wut the Canadian rating is :3
