Haven't played the game so I didn't see it coming. And imo there isn't any meaning behind it.The story could progress with any other way...
And seriously, why do they have to put all this kickass magic in a war anime?Couldn't they let it progress as it is,with normal warfare units and such?

Episode 20.

Wow, that was put in a much more dramatic (or should I say drastic?) way than in the game.
A big fight is coming ...

ep20 and 21 - very kickass

That was one hell of a fight, with a lot of deaths and tense situations...
Ok,the Valkyrie stuff is too exaggerated considering their destructiveness but anyway,we'll live with it. :D

k started watching this since i'm close to the end of the game. Its only vaguely following the game which is a good thing, coz it makes the anime worth watching. Although Isara bothers me as shes too cheerful in the anime and not quiet like she is in the game, feels odd =P

ep24 - daww we never get to see Selvaria use her special machine gun, which had me running like crazy to find cover during that mission in the game.

Indeed, but since they decide to tweak a little the scenario by keeping Alicia as a Valkyria soldier (rather logical, instead of keep her as a militia scout), Selvaria could not have faced her as a regular human soldier.
Spoiler :
Ep.25:
Strangely, the Edelweiss was not deployed.
Some other differences with the game showed up: Jaeger is killed by the prince, but Randgriz prime minister is not. And Alicia being kept as hostage? Mmmh, nice plot twist.

lol last episode... game had a better ending because I liked the Alicia/Welkin epilogue at the end of the day

ok some changes to the game:
Spoiler :
-Max goes uber form which was a bitch to take down I must add, errr Alicia managed to buffer overflow him to death.
-Fardio doesn't take Max down with him, he dies a much more worthless death, which is strange given his recurring roles in the anime
- the epilogue of the game is meant to show Welkin going back to studying, Alicia running a bakery and they have a kid named Isara, last convo in the anime hinted that they still had shit to take care of =/
- Kiss scene in the anime was weak compared to the game
Animation was nice though, especially with Alicia dodging those shots.

I finally manage to see the last episode during the weekend. To sum up the feedback I'd give to this serie:
- this is perhaps the best adaptation of a game into an anime I've seen so far (well, it is known this has never been an easy exercise). That said, the game is far better in almost all points. Graphically of course, but also for epic/dramatic moments (Rosie's not singing at Isara's grave, final fight against maximilian is somehow flat, and no miraculous escape using Isara's plane, etc etc ...).
- I somehow regret that there were not more funny scenes (such as this episode where Alicia is the journalist everywhere) . This is one of the few point I prefer in the anime, but sadly this concerns few episodes.

Still, well done, I think this was good enough for fans to be satisfied  .

I don't know if anyone else has done enough VC films to have noticed, but... Aniplex has been issuing takedowns on everything with VC tv footage. Has anyone else been hit by this?
