Blockbuster Trailer parodies

Post by scudgreen » Thu Nov 19, 2009 11:03 am

(This is my first time on the Forum, so please be gentle  )

Who likes trailer amvs? I like making them because they're simple parodies. That and the fact that I like the original trailers a lot. I think it's fun to see my favorite anime characters playing the roles of our movie stars.

Please let me know if you enjoyed it or not

cheers

I loved the Samurai Champloo / Sherlock Holmes trailer. It was just so unexpectedly awesome. I actually downloaded it on the very first day that you uploaded it to the org last month. Oh and, the One Piece / Watchmen trailer was epic. I didn't really like the One Piece / X-men trailer though. I just felt that it was kinda forced.

The only complaint that I have about the other two are about their names. It would have been awesome if you had given them titles instead of just listing the anime and trailer. I personally think that Samurai Holmes would have been a awesome title for the first one.

At the time I made the Wolverine trailer, it felt like the right time to do it. I was actually finishing the watchmen one when I came up with the idea. A one piece movie trailer moment. On reflection I'd say I have to agree with you, it was pretty forced. I still like it though.

(luckily I didn't force my "9" + One Piece idea  )

I absolutely loved the Samurai Champloo Sherlock Holmes trailer. That was just brilliant, in my opinion.
I also felt that the Watchmen one was well done, but X-Men Origins one seemed somewhat forced. It's great that you thought of the idea while you were working on the Watchmen one though.
I look forward to more epic AMVs from you. 5/5!
