Guidelines:
Only pick an anime or movie that premiered in Japan for the year you chose. Animes that are the same series but the new season got a different name will not count as a premiere for that year. For example, Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni premiered in 2006 while Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Kai premiered in 2007. Kai would not be counted as a 2007 premiere.
Quick question regarding this. I know separate seasons don't count for different years, but are we allowed to use those different seasons? I ask because I thought of using parts of 'Samurai X', which premiered in 1999, but most of it would still be the original Rurouni Kenshin series. If this would violate the rule above, just let me know; I'll rework my part with just the series. XD;

Yes, you can use any new season even if it's named something different (like Pokemon) as long as it's the same anime.
