Any possible way of getting Vegas?

I've heard Vegas is a step and a half up from Windows Movie Maker, and I have been very eager to get it. all i can find is the trial but I am desperately trying to find a good way to get it

can anyone point me in the right direction?

I know you already got this in IRC, but it's against the rules to ask where to get stuff like this for free.

There was an offer where you could get vegas for $99 IIRC, but that was a few years ago...so I'm not sure if it's still valid.
