I've been watching what I eat (though not restricting it too severely, I'm not starving myself, just eating more of better foods.), doing yoga daily, so far I've walked 10 miles and as of today, I've already lost 4.4 lbs. In six days! I've been able to sleep easier and my mood has improved significantly. Though my feet and knees are angry at me, I already spend my entire work shift on them, so adding the walking made them very sore. A mile and a half is not that far to walk, but right after a 9 hour shift on your feet, it sure as hell is.
But it's okay, I'm pleased with my progress and that I'm seeing results so soon.
Just gotta make sure I keep my momentum!
OMG! I was just about to post the same thing!!! I've been on a diet to, but am now bringing back some sugars becasue I HATE sweeteners! I love the Soups and the healthy cookies! Been Playing A LOT of DDR and I'm about to try jogging tomorrow.
Good luck and I hope we can achieve a healthier lifestyle!
Me too you guys. I just bought a treadmill used off a lady at work for $75. I've yet to see the thing but she says it's practically new and is a nice electric model...that's worth $75 to me. Since I spend 90% of my day on my ass in front of a computer at work and home, I figure any time I'm watching any kind of show or whatever, I'll be on that treadmill walking. I don't watch a lotta TV, but I do catch various things I download etc., and I'm one of those people who will go out and just walk for miles for no good reason...now I get to cram that much more of it in every day while I normally would have been sitting.
A note on sugar that helps me as well, any time you introduce concentrated sugars (glucose, fructose, maltose, etc) into your bloodstream, your insulin spikes. When your blood is full of insulin, it's like an automatic off switch to your fat reserves. NO fat will be burned/considered by the body if there's enough or too much insulin. I find it works wonders to stick with fruit for natural sugar. Good luck, let's kick ass and be healthy.
