the backlight on my laptop's monitor finally gave out, so to fix this, I grabbed my little 22" HDTV from my bedroom and plugged my laptop into via the HDMI cable fixing this problem. why is this in the "good mood" thread? now that my wife no longer has a tv to watch netflix in the bedroom, a new HDTV and/or new computer has moved to the top of our queue list to purchase

Aniplex of America made this big announcement ~December 5th that the Ore no Imouto Limited Edition Box Set was sold out and that there were 'no online outlets that had it' - Right Stuf and Bandai disabled it. I find out about this on the 7th. It was on the Christmas list I gave my family like a month and a half ago, but my mom hadn't ordered it yet.

So I actually look at Aniplex's website - says the same thing: sold out, no online retailers. But Image Anime, one of the vendors linked through the Aniplex site still had it listed (and still does, actually), no inkling that it's sold out, and I just took a chance and ordered it anyway. After all, if they didn't have it, the order would get canceled and I'd not be out anything. UPS delivered it earlier tonight. The only downside is that it wasn't discounted like Right Stuf had it, so it was about $30 more expensive with shipping. Since it's a Christmas present and I put it down on the list as $59.99, I told my mom that I'd swallow the difference.

Of course, I just know that six months from now they'll announce a Blu-ray release, like it should have been from the start. Because the universe hates me. Right now it feels pretty good, though.
