timming
When you time something to happen "on" a beat, do you time it EXACTLY on the beat? and since 24fps hardly ever matches up perfectly with a beat of a song, has anyone had any good results with timing it before or after a few frames? Such as if you're doing lyric syncing for comedy you want to put the visual pun at the end or even after the word phrase is over.

Play it by ear. Try not to be too exact. Place your cut/action where you think it should be based on what you hear. Make the cut and then watch it, if it feels off, change it until it's right. Worrying about exactness makes things too formulaic IMO. Allow for some dynamics in your editing.

Like you're gonna hit it exactly? I don't think so.
Also don't stress yourself about getting the perfect timing, worry better about the flow of the video, cause it's useless to have a perfect timing and no flow inside the video
