Japan Expo International AMV Contest 2012
Watch out, here we go! Yes, the most anticipated contest in Europe, for the biggest japanimation exposition outside Japanese territory, that is Japan Expo, has started!
As usual, the best editors have the opportunity to compete against each other the first prize during the key event of the French AMV stage.
Coordinated by AMV-France association and Japan Expo, the contest is expected to break its participation record. So, regardless of your level, don’t be afraid to face many editors from across the world and reveal your potential!
And because we always want to innovate, exclusive videos will be mandatory! It is now prohibited to publish your creation before its publication on AMV-France website or risk disqualification.
In order to make the event even more interactive and friendly, you can now register to the contest without uploading your video on our FTP. Basically, you can register right now and upload your AMV on the deadline!
Talking about that, this year, the deadline is set on May 27th 2012 at 23h59 (UTC+2). You have enough time to impress us.
Last but not least, we shouldn't forget about the public prize whose success is already known from past contests.
A 2h projection on giant screen will allow AMV lovers as well as newcomers to preview the selected videos and vote for their favourites ones!

Limitations: the video must have been created from animes (japanese animation, video games and alternative animation (in a limited way) are allowed). Pornography or sequences too violent lead to disqualification. Once an entry has been disqualified, the entrant cannot object to the decision.

UP - 1st and 2nd category announcement
Hi the selection of the 1st and 2ng categories are done now.
We're going to do the same system this year, we will announce 5/6 vids per day which are inside the 1st or 2nd category of the contest.
As every year, the 2 first categories of the contest, chosen among 77 videos, will be announced before the convention!
There are 24 videos in the 1st one, they'll be shown during the convention for a 1h30 show in the evening on Saturday and Sunday!
No worries for the 2nd category! All videos will be shown at the AMV France stand.
