Man, I haven't watched this in years. I remembered being super excited about every sync and cut while I was making it. Good times.

I can't bear to watch it anymore because it makes me blush and grin so hard my face hurts for an hour afterwards. It brings out the giggles, too, and I'm too old to do that. But I was so excited. I finally had a computer with a dvd drive, so I payed around $40 for a program that ripped the dvds and spit out avi files that wmm could use. I had never read a guide and was so proud that I could produce an mpg file when all the vids I saw were in wmv or the dreaded rm. I still remember how confused I was when people complained about the capture quality because I had used dvds while others had subtitles all over their vids. It was nearly a year before I found out other people were watching amvs at fullscreen. That thought had never even occurred to me. Yes, those were good times. 8-)

I was introduced to the term "AMV" by an online friend. I had seen a couple before and wanted to make some sort of video so I made this for her. She recommended Hell Girl to me, and Pink's look in the original video reminds me of my friend.

My only editing tool was TMPGEnc, and I discovered internal synch (with the clock scene) by happy accident.

I later remade it, adding some lipsynch and such, calling it "Hell Girl Likes A Pink Pill".
