To put it simply, I'm a HUGE fan of the original AniMix. When I first started editing I thought it was amazing! So many different editors and styles all packed into one giant MEP! After stumbling across this mix, I knew what had to be done....hence why you're currently reading this post. >>
Just like the original AniMix, I've got a pretty laid back attitude about this. We've got over a year to finish it (almost 2!) and the entire point of this MEP is to have fun, we've got nothin' to prove
If you're unfamiliar with the AniMix, check out the project here:
= Signups =
ANYONE can join! One of the things I really loved about the original AniMix was that they let everyone in regardless of whether they were an old pro and just starting. (In fact, a lot of big shot editors who are around today were just newbies who joined the AniMix back in the day!)
So as long as you've got an org account and you can figure out how to post in this thread, you're welcome to join.
Please keep in mind that if you can not meet the technical requirements then you will not be able to take part, but I'm more than willing to help anyone who asks
= Style =
As I've said before, there is no real style or look we're going for but if anyone wants to make a couple tracks that are reminiscent of old AniMix tracks, that'd be really neat! (Especially since there are a lot of songs from the original AniMix in here)

Full Megamix by Samus Jay
Listen to it on Soundcloud with the full track list here
= Claiming Tracks =
The tracks have been cut into very small bits and pieces, just as in the original AniMix. We will operate on a first come, first serve basis.
Currently, you may edit up to 5 tracks total BUT you may only claim 1 at a time. If you wish to edit two tracks that are right next to each other (ex. tracks 20 & 21) you may claim them at the same time, but if they are not connected (ex. 32 & 78) you may not.
(Ps. The cuts I have under the spoiler of the tracks are kind of rough. If you claim one, I'll send you a better cut with a bit more lead-way at the beginning/end.)
= Tracks = (Under Spoiler! There are a lot of them >>)
Codec: Uncompressed or UTVideo
Framerate: 23.976
Resolution: 848x480
Please do any filtering to your footage before you send me your final track. I will not be filtering any of the tracks I receive. If you use fullscreen 4:3 footage, make sure to properly crop/resize your source to fit the project resolution.
= Source Selection =
Don't worry if your footage isn't zomg 1080p SUPER HD. As long as it looks clean enough to pass for DVD quality, we're good.
Logos, subtitles, credits, bad quality such as macroblocking, interlacing, etc...is a no no.
As for claiming sources, the first person to claim a track and list their source has first dibs on it. If you would like to use the same source, you must wait for them to turn in their track before you can begin yours. This will be put in place to ensure we do not use the same scenes multiple times. At most, a single source may only be used a total of 2 times.
It's a large MEP and a long mix so I won't say that once a source has been claimed it can no longer be used so instead we'll just throw this little rule in.
Multi-anime tracks are allowed as long as they follow the other source rules.
Avatar The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra are welcome sources. Same goes for video games.
Beyond that, stick with anime please
= Content =
I recognize the fact that there are quite suggestive themes in a few of the songs and straight up bad language here and there. However, sexually explicit footage will be a no-go. I'm ok pushing PG-13 with anime such as "Colorful" but you bring out the "Night Shift Nurses" and we're going to have problems.
= Deadlines =
There are no deadlines in place at this time since the goal is to finish this MEP by 2014 in time for the 10 year AniMix Anniversary :3 However, if you claim a track and no beta or final track sent to me within 2 months of claiming said track, a contact PM will be sent out. If no response, beta, or final track follow the PM I send to you then you will lose your track and it will go back up on the market. They're mostly 10 second tracks, it doesn't take that long to edit them
= Submitting Your Final Track =
When you've finished your track, please contact me and I will provide you with FTP information that you will upload the track to.
