So Parody is a sub-genre of Comedy and Trailer is a sub-genre of Parody

Technically Comedy has 3 categories... just saying lol

When I saw Trailer / Commercial I thought industry style... next time maybe a little line of text might be helpful. I simply didn't think you would actually have 2 parody categories. Simple miscommunication / misunderstanding

Parody does not always mean Comedy, though it often ends up being construed as such. Parody can take non-comedic forms.

Though alas, this year the Comedy genre and the Parody genre will be merged to form the "Comedy/Parody" finalist category.

I agree parody doesn't always have to be comedy... like I said misunderstanding. If I knew Trailer / Commercial was essentially parody I probably wouldn't even have bothered entering my Harlock video. Still it is more of a true trailer than the parody ("trailers") that will be the finalists...
