In the Anime Evolution AMV room last weekend, I decided to try an experiment that had been running around in my head for a while. The premise is that I take an AMV and mash up the video track with the video from other AMVs, while keeping the music the same. In some cases, I keep the video track the same and mix in the music from other AMVs.
Then I get some contestants to watch the resulting videos and guess which of the mixed up tracks is the "correct" one.
Some rounds I made deliberately easy by picking incongruous sources, some I tried to make hard by attempting to make the "fake" tracks sync up, but only by linear time shift.
I doubt anyone who hangs out here would find it challenging, as you all have a good eye for sync and have probably watched all the source AMVs. However, I though you might find it interesting, so here's a link to the videos. Quality is not great due to re-encoding etc.

The five contestants did pretty well, they unanimously guessed most of the rounds correctly, but three of the rounds gave them some trouble.

Re: My Experimental Gameshow
I guess hard mode would be adding poorly synced random videos into the mix?

Re: My Experimental Gameshow
Interesting concept. Some of these were really easy (I knew the answer right when the song started), but I could see how it could be found to be difficult. Coo.
