Good Prizes for AMV contest?
So our con is giving aay a lifetime badge for best of show for the PG14 contest and A body Pillow (Using the cons Mascots) for the best of show for the Adult Winner.
However I was wondering how people felt about these prizes and if their is a prize that would be kinda cool to get.
Thanks a million.

So - important thing to note, especially if you're advertizing for your con here on the 'org... 80-95+% of your entries will be from people who aren't going to be there. Unless you're a large con, or happen to be in an area that's conveniently located for a lot of people, they're never going to be there.

We are LA based but it is a thing we noted. We actually hopped that the lifetime badges would get people coming to our con and help build an AMV community at con.BasharOfTheAges wrote:So - important thing to note, especially if you're advertizing for your con here on the 'org... 80-95+% of your entries will be from people who aren't going to be there. I think having neat prizes and plaques are cool. If the con does not want to pay for shipping put it in the rules that the editors will have to cover the shipping cost. Also if you do an amazon gift card, FYE or Bestbuy those work too.
I do a personal headband from Naruto from the Sound Village and have the editors name on it for my coordinator's choice.

Thank you castor. We went with lifetime badges cause we figured if you made good AMVs we wanted you at our con. However interest in the con and the contest has been less than what we hopped.Castor Troy wrote:Lifetime badge sounds awesome!

I can't speak for the con itself, but give it time with the entries. Your due date isn't til Aug 8th, right? Cons tend to get swarmed with entries close to the end... for procrastinators, nearly a month is an eternity.Cali_Ninja wrote:Thank you castor.
