Have you ever?
Dang I've been posting a lot lately.. but have you guys ever been working on something and that moment hits you when you're just like "This may be the greatest thing I've ever created" I just got that moment and it is glorious. Anyone else get that feeling? xD

Yes, then I send a beta to someone who has a very "meh" response and I lose all my motivation.

Ever since I've been an editor, I've seen the amazing amv's and every single one of them had that... "essence" to them that just made them amazing. I could never get that feeling from my own videos until just now. And I'm only 6 seconds in which makes it even better. I learned a lot from my previous contest and I'm trying to apply concepts and way to MAKE a transition versus using what's there. The result? A creative mish mosh of awesomeness!

I applaud your attitude! It's a good feeling when you really enjoy what you're making. That's the "drug" for many of us, the thing that keeps us coming back and making more videos. It can also be the thing that pushes you to get better. Use that motivation, don't let it get away from you!Sephirothskr wrote:Ever since I've been an editor, I've seen the amazing amv's and every single one of them had that... Re: Have you ever?
I agree with CrackTheSky. That feeling of enjoying what you are making and bring an idea of yours to life is amazing. I had that feeling since my first amv in 2002. While my earlier works were... well...not that great (cough). I still enjoyed making them. There are different types of editors out there. Mainly for me it's about telling a story or making a story up with the scenes and trying to deliver that message. Tape into the characters emotions and bring the video to life.
Keep that motivation going as CrackTheSky said. Don't let happen to me, happen to you. I lost motivation because I was getting to wrapped up in the technical aspect of it and worried about winning. When you star focusing on that, and it's not fun, that's when you'll hit a road block. It stopped me for 7 years, I regret that. However I'm back now and found the passion again.
It's good to see that you have it.

Re: Have you ever?
I'm hoping to attend AFO next year myself and have a video too. It would be my first time since 2007. I went to the convention 2005-2007, it was nice and I'm glad they are back at their original spot.
Good luck with your project! Remember to relax and have fun.

Thanks and I will
I'll probably upload a preview in the coming weeks. But first... The tedious process of acquiring the footage... :'(
Thanks and I will
