Engine Noise in Motor Racing AMVs

Hey it's Retro again,

I want to know whether or not motor racing AMVs, featuring anime such as Redline, Initial D, etc., are allowed to have natural car sound effects in the video along with the music, of course. (sounds in question are sfx like engine noise, turbo whistle, exhaust backfire, etc.) I think if allowed, it would really enhance the motor racing atmosphere of said AMV, and I would really like to know where it is and isn't allowed in certain AMVs, or any AMVs at all.

You can use whatever audio that you want to use in AMVs. It's a hobby, there aren't strict rules. (Unless you mean for a contest and you'd have to ask that specific contest about that. )

If you can find some good sounds that don't have music, dialogue, or other distracting sounds over them, go ahead and give it a try! Experiment with different volumes, you might not want those sounds as loud as your song. Or maybe you do.

This is the only AMV I've seen with those kind of sound effects, if you were looking for an example. It's up to you to decide how to do it, though.

no hard set rules on Sound Mixxing nor the Blending thereof.

My favorite thing to do is have the Anime Speaking just loud enough with the music as so it blends-in with the music w/o hearing That Sound Tracks Music ever being heard.

If there was a limitation on stuff, it would be for Fraudulent Claims being Spoken ( signs don't count ) such as subway's eat flesh. That's a No-No.
