Help Finding Ambient Glitchy AMV, Mojiki?
Heyo, I've been searching for this specific AMV I remember seeing years ago, maybe 2011, to the extent that I actually used Bing just to see if some other results would come up, but of course no beans. So I turn to my fellow experts. Would anyone be able to help me locate this AMV with the elements that I can remember listed below:
- The song was very ambient and melancholy; very similar to Boards Of Canada, and VERY close to this song, https://soundcloud.com/weareallastronau ... d-ocean-we
- The anime visuals were glitchy, with many repeating sections
- It had some Japanese voice-over sections with a girl saying something close to Mojiki, as I remember it; could be totally off
- I remember seeing it on a stand-alone site I believe, but possibly on Vimeo
I'd really appreciate it if anyone has any leads! These vague memories of the video are killing me! Thanks a lot!

The video that comes to mind for me would be this one, though the voiced sections sung by an asian women are in English and I'd expect you'd probably recall the text in the video... >_> Also doubt xstylus would put this on vimeo unless someone else uploaded it there...

Ah. Sorry, I wasn't trying to accuse. I actually didn't check Vimeo to see if the video was even uploaded there prior to making my post. I made an assumption based on the self-deprecating comments Troy makes at Sakuracon when the video gets played. >_>

Seriously thanks for trying to help me out. I looked through all of those videos and it doesn't seem to be any of them. I realize I'm not giving you much to go off of. I'll keep trying to remember parts of the video and any other details I can conjure up from my memory. Maybe I need to meditate on it...
Thanks guys!
Thanks guys!

I was totally off on when I had seen it; apparently one year feels like four to me, go figure. Also, here is the full track WITH the voice over at the very beginning, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-DWCXeqg40 Though, I swear the original video I watched had the voice over with the glitch video as well, but whatever.
The anime is Angel's Egg which after a friend and I looked into it apparently had Mamoru Oshii as the writer and director, character designs by Yoshitaka Amano, and was produced by Toshio Suzuki, the co-founder of Studio Ghibli! HOLY FUCKING SHIT, RIGHT!

Lastly, I have to ask the question of whether you guys would really consider this an AMV. I actually do not, mainly due to the fact that it's basically only using the anime as a medium for the art style in the video and the composition is original. I could be swayed to say it is however, so I'd like to hear others thoughts.
Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy the video as much as I do; I think it's absolutely amazing, both audibly and visually.

For here? In this community? That anime is present is pretty much the only criteria. Music isn't even really a necessity.
