editing out background noise?

Post by Tacita Koe » Sat Apr 02, 2016 11:06 pm

Okay, so if you've ever seen an amv that adds in dialogue from the anime it's using, you might realize what I'm asking here.

I've wanted to make an amv trailer that makes use of dialogue from the source work for a LONG time now, but all the REALLY good lines that I'd want to use have very noticable background music or other noise going on that I don't going on the amv, and I just don't know how to get rid of that.

Is there a specific program I need to use to filter the audio? Please help me out here!

Audacity is a free program that has has features for removing background noise, but trying to remove background music without damaging the quality of your audio is often close to impossible. If you really want to use dialogue from your show, you're much better off just sticking with dialogue parts that happen when there isn't any background music.
