How does this only ever get 2 opinions? I thought this was a classic (1998!), is there a chance that I'm mixing it up with something else?
I think there was a really popular AMV to that song, but that wasn't it.

The one I know was by Lonley [sic] Driver Productions and used Akira, but it was from 2003, so not quite that old.

Can confirm this is indeed a classic video. I haven't see it in many years, I definitely remember it. If there was a more popular video with this song later, it's outside of the "classic" timeframe. Maybe after 2003 or so?

Thanks for including me. I appreciate it. :D
Plz fix the dates on your entries, I want to know when they were released.

Thanks!

OK well when I did my firs AMVs (1990) there weren't any AMV's out there to influence me. At least not that I was aware of. Remember there wasn't an Internet back then. If you can even conceive of a time without internet. So we had to trade tapes back and forth. The one video that got me jazzed was the Daicon 4 video. That is still cool, but I don't know if you could call it an AMV. Anyway here are a couple of my first AMVs which I have read have been influential...LOL

Do you happen to remember who did the Iczer 1 redub of Madonna's Isle Bonita? That's one of the old tape AMVs I got ahold of in the late 90s and eventually made into like 320x240 MPG. I think I have it somewhere...

If you have AMV's that predate online distribution on tape, have you considered getting them preserved digitally and getting them online?

They already have been, and I've shared them. They were in the vault for a while. I think more people have them than just me.

The vault was a collection of pre-Org stuff. Some of it was added to the Org, either by proxy or by the editors years later, but a lot of it that was hosted was stuff unavailable anywhere else. I believe Malificus last controlled it? But who knows now. Pretty sure it doesn't exist anymore. But I think Nate downloaded it all and has everything archived.
