Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

My first time in this forum
Hello everyone, this is my first AMV to share in this forum. Actually, this is the fourth AMV (three videos still in my youtube). I just wanna know if people could give some feedback and/or advice on an AMV created early to make me better and better. If you already give me some feedback and/or advice, i appreciated.
Thank you.

Re: My first time in this forum
I am not really into the onscreen text, so maybe this is just not for me. Many viewers will enjoy seeing the lyrics translated and will get new layers of meaning and enjoyment out of that, I wish I could join them but I can't.
I do appreciate the simple and clean editing, it suits the music very well and you let the visuals speak for themselves in a way that doesn't need extra effects or too much meddling.

Some people might be uncomfortable when see onscreen text, but i wont deny that. Cause, everyone has their own perspective what they see.
And this is my fourth AMV. I had learned from the past when i make First and second AMV, I put a lot of effects in it and the result is really bad. Simple effect not bad at all. Im glad some people like simple editing. But still, i need to improve my skill for next AMV.

Re: My first time in this forum
This is a recent fad/trend in the music video community. It mostly plagues the live-action music videos that you find on Youtube.
It's disgustingly common.
I never tried it. I made the "other mistake": incorporating clips from the official music video.
Ask me about my secret stash of videos that can't be found anywhere anymore.

There's nothing wrong with adding text if you want. It's a style choice, not a "mistake". Some people like it, some don't, it's up to you as the editor to decide if you want it in your video.
