VicBond007 DVD pre-orders
Well it's no big secret...OK, maybe it was. For the past 2...almost 3 months I've been compiling a DVD of my works to debut at Katsucon. The DVD features all of my videos, some remastered from new source, starting with Larger Than Life and going up to my Katsucon9/Mindwarp contest AMV... well. I can't say what it is. But after seeing it at Katsucon for the first time, you'll get to walk home with a copy that day! ^_^
Other features on the DVD include:
- 2 special guest AMVs
- Audio commentary by the creators
- optional lyric subtitles
- liner notes for every AMV
- stills gallery
- interactive animated menus
The DVD is burned onto a DVD+R to ensure maximum compatibility so it will work on all PC DVD-ROM drives and virtually all DVD players (I've tested about 25 models at the Wiz and all of them played +R). The few that have seen a test run can vouch for me, as it looks VERY professional. The packaged and printed DVD will cost $7 a piece. What I would like to do is get an idea as to how many people will be attending Katsucon and would want one. I need to get a general idea early because if I can't get rid of them all at Katsucon, by the time I make my next video, the first batch will have become outdated and that's gonna cost me, so I dont' want to burn more than I need to. I will be distributing them at the AMV panel (date/time TBA) and I'll have a few on me as I wander the halls.
If you're not going to Katsucon and are still interested, post a reply too. I have no problem shipping the DVDs so long as you pay for shipping. I can do international orders (costly shipping) as the DVD is region 0 and will play in any NTSC player (Sorry PAL people! ^_^)

Don't worry - PAL people have sensible DVD players that play and convert NTSC tooVicBond007 wrote: (Sorry PAL people! ^_^)

The DVD idea sounds interesting, and I would definitely like to have one. The only problem for me is that I'm only going to attend Katsucon on Saturday and, depending on the schedule of the convention, I might end up missing the AMV panel (i.e. if the panel happens either on Friday or at the same time as the Saturday morning showing of the AMV contest a la last year).

I requested for the panel to happen 1 hour after the Friday AMV showing, but Gendo only knows if I'll get that spot. I'll be at the con all Saturday though so you might catch me in the halls. I'll be dressed just like this ugly dude:

because that ugly dude just happens to be me
