Gundam 0080 centered around a team of Zeonic commandos (while the anime doesn't depict them as evil or anti-heroes for that matter, they're generally considered the bad guys of the One Year War)

Also, supposedly there was a Record Of Lodoss War spin-off with Ashram and Pirotess as the main characters

ok thanks....none really appeared as true anti-hero type of person, and kenshin just seems more like a warrior for the people type

how about an anime with a main char that is more evil than good one of which the villany is unencompassed?

well Char's Counterattack sorta focuses on him during the movie. Cyber City Oedo 808 is around three criminals but they aren't really anti-heroes. if i come up with something i'll post. Sayonara.
Fighting weak oponents leaves me feeling so empty inside.

Ah yes, I think Legend of Crystania has Ashram and Pirotess as heroes, but I wouldn't call them main characters. The story starts to center on a yet another new adventuring party. Beast-men also get thrown into the mix of mythical races in the series so you can definately see that it diverges from it's AD&D roots.

.hack doesn't count, while Tsukasa is acting in his own interests he couldn't be considered a villain, especially as he's a victim.

Excel Saga does follow the "villains" as such.

im watching scryed right now .. and it is following 2 different char's .. one on each side of the law .. i odn tknow which one is ultimately the "bad guy" but ask ZeWrestler .. he used to have a site up (it was down since he sent me that link) about it.
...the problem I see a lot is that many good amv makers think they suck, and many bad amv makers think they're good.
I've seen it happen, man! I've SEEN IT!..
