I did that for my last 4 vids also. Seems no one digs the oldies anymore.AbsoluteDestiny wrote:Dunno about anyone else but my last 8 videos had songs nobody on the org had used and 7 of those were by unused artists (the only used artist being David Bowie)
I'm usually surprised when I enter video info and find I have to create an artist

I've heard of them. I've got a bunch of kageyama hironobu songs, and I'm a big fan of Super Robot Wars games. One of my future projects is going to use Super Robot Wars Alpha Gaiden scenes even.Heero_Yuy84 wrote:Way ahead of you (sort of...chances are some have heard of the anime and song, but they're not exactly big name)
Anime: Shin Getter Robo vs Neo Getter Robo
Song: Hagane No Messiah - Jam Project (from Super Robot Wars Alpha OST)

Well I did an Eva Video set to the first four and a half minutes of The War Of The Worlds, and I had to created a new artist and song. I like the way the video turned out, its nothing spectacular but it works. the only bad part is the beginning. Simple text on a screen for 45 seconds is all that works. Maybe when I become more skilled I can lip-synch something in there. For those that have heard The War Of The Worlds (Jeff Waynes Musical version, with Richard Burton) you'll know what I'm talkin about.
I have to make a followup to that too, its a task i set myself. To make a two or possibly three part musical AMV (i mean like classical music)

I've actually got a Maroon 5 vid planned out in my head, but it's a bit down the road in when I'll have the chance to work on it (not to mention I've not yet finished watching the series I want to use or have any idea how/where to get DVDs of it to use for source... ).jonmartensen wrote:Maroon 5
Working with artists nobody has ever heard of is lots of fun, though it's occasionally hard to get people to DL and watch them (unless you've got a good enough reputation for people to DL it just because you made it- which I don't). It's also loads of fun to make videos to anime that almost nobody has ever heard of...

Well, if nobody's heard of them, how are you going to make a video to an artist you've never heard of before?OmniStrata wrote:How about making an amv that uses an artist that NOBODY'S heard of?

*trips Roz* oops! I'm sorry..I didn't see you running by me..
I usually try to use Artisit that no one else has ever used before..and I have an anime that I really need to use that I'm pretty positive no one else has use..I guess I should check the data base.. but it's called a Wind Named Amenisa..and no MJ..not everyone has forgotten the old stuff..

I almost used some of the desert scenes from Wind Named Amnesia as backgrounds for Samurai Windu. Good show.ladydx wrote:*trips Roz* oops! I'm sorry..I didn't see you running by me..

I'm personally really hoping AnimEigo gets off their duffs and gets at least the UY movies and OAVs out soon (if not the whole rest of the series). I'd love to re-do the one all-UY vid I did and do a few more...
