Bloody, Funny, and just plain cool
I love violent animes like akira, berserk, and devilman. also, goldenboy is great cause it really is HILARIOUS. and other animes like Galaxy Express 999, metropolis, trigun, neon genesis and Lodoss war, are just plain cool. neon genesis actually would fall into the category of HORNY, VIOLENT, FUNNY, DRAMATIC, and cool.

An opinion I share, I was just saying CG technically counts as anime.Gatsthedarksword wrote:still in my personal opinion non cg anime looks better
When it comes to CG Animation, Mainframe 0\/\/|\|z.

I think my avatar speaks for itself.
I like the Inuyasha anime style - it has cleaner lines and a sharper feel, compared to the Takahashi manga style. It's still a little rough compared to some of the other stuff (like say, CLAMP) but it has its own appeal.
Groove Adventure RAVE has an interesting big-eyed style for its main characters as well, though one wonders what stuff the artists doing all secondary characters are on. You'll know what I mean if you've seen this one.
Gonzo Digimations Full Metal Panic is also quite exemplary, although there are instances where they've slipped up.
Art styles I don't really like? One Piece is strange, and the whole Revolutionary Girl Utena/Fruits Basket style is a little too angular (though the latter is quite watchable).
