Hardest song to ever make an AMV to- Bring Me to Life.

Don't laugh. If you try to do the song justice it just ends up being really flashy shit.

Seriously.

And that's probably why 99.9% of Bring Me to Life videos suck.

Anything by Prince...just try it..and try to use regular anime for it..no hentai..nearly impossible. Course that's not to say that I'm not giving it a shot anyway

One of my approx. 10 ideas for next year's 80s contest (if there is one) is a Prince vid that's not hentai, so say it ain't so.

I'd say any song that's very long - assuming you don't cut it down - will be a challenge, to sustain interest over that length of time.

Also, I had a bit of trouble with the last one I tried, because it was downbeat, but not a ballad, and didn't have a strong melody. Not much energy, in other words.

I agree. Any LONG song is hard, because your source footage seems to dissappear after a while. You run out of clips to use, so you're sometimes stuck using sucky clips.

Most AMVs only using a movie as the source footage can be hard too (especially if its a long song). 1.5+ hours of raw footage doesn't cut it sometimes.

hmmm, some Wierd Al songs don't feel like they would fit to anything (but I've been proven wrong before

)

As long as the song and the anime click in your head, no matter what the circumstances, you will perservere and pull out a good video (usually). You caqn almost always tell that an AMV will be good before you even make it.

Why dont you make a music video to "Excitable Boy" by Warren Zevon....the absolute strangest song I've ever heard...

aside from "What's he building in there?" by Tom Waitts.

Neither of those...are songs you could TOUCH. Those are by far the most impossible songs. I -DARE- you to try and make a good video to either song.

yhea..a good vid...but I said Prince, not Queen
