Looking for good Instrumental Blues and jazz
I'm looking to broaden my musical horizons, i'm wondering of you guys can tell me about any good instrumental blues and jazz. I'm particularly interested in good guitar palying. I don;t mind vocals, but jazz and blues vocals never really did it for me. Any suggestions?

Hmmm instrumental Blues or jazz, preferable showcasing good guitar work. I'd say i've heard this and i like that ... but I'm not sure... I guess if you wan't to call Colling james blues, i've heard his song "why do you lie" and i liekd the guitar work there... well i guess thats a start.

I cant give you any real advice, not listening to jazz and blues myself, but I can give you a warning.
If you hear smooth Jazz, you do like we do. Run. You run your ass off.
Its just glorified porn/elevator music.

If your looking for a good jazz band with some kick ass instrumentals look into the Dave Matthews Band. Some of his later work is more smooth rock but Crash one of their later albums, made in the late 90's had a jazzy feel to it. The instruments in the bad include Violin, gutiar, bass, saxaphone, and flute. And as far as the lyrics go they are amazing. This guy should have been a poet. Hope this reply helped you out!
