But because of the stink he's causing here AND at the Anime Detour Forums, I've decided not to. I have no desires to deal with someone who thinks his ideas are better, just because they're his and decides to start all this drama over something that is really a simple matter to straighten out.

Phade and I will be heading the AMV contest, we will work together as much as we can to make it as succesful as possible, and in such a way to get as many people involved as we can ^_^

as soon as we think of a good way to do it, we will post it on the website and let everyone know!
Make sure you get Kyle to watch :)

My ideas were better, which is why I offered to bring them to fruition. Just because I complained when I discovered how poorly-implemented things were announced to be doesn't mean I'm suddenly wrong.

The fact that I no longer care to help is beside the point.

And I've been an administrator of the AnimeDetour forum ever since _I_ figured out how to implement it, so please don't tell me you had no way of contacting me.

My intention was not to "start drama," it was to voice a complaint and to provide criticism where none had been presented. I did not consider it an attack on anyone. If you chose to believe I was directly attacking anyone and that I had intended to cause drama, that is not my problem.

How can you say it wasn't an attack and you weren't trying to start drama when you have said NOTHING positive, OR offered any help!

the first thing you said was a bash on the new website! WHY because it wasn't yours and YOU didn't like it.

Until you came out swinging with that, I was actualy going to send you an e-mail and see what WE could come up with, but as I said I have no desire to deal with you on a one on one basis.

As for why I hadn't contacted you before, I had no idea that you had done the website AND were planning something for the AMV contest until last night. If I don't have the information at my disposal, I can't use it. I hadn't even been aware there had been anyone working on the AMV contest.

None of this was done to spite you, it was all done because it HAD to be done, and that's all there is to it.

Well, good luck to ya! maybe with Phade's help you might be able to expand into DVD or Mpeg2 submissions. They're not as bad asd they sound to handle provided care is taken to ensure proper encodings are sent! I guess the reason I commented on it before is so that you have as many options as possible to make it a great AMV contests! I know how tough that can be since there are so many now and it's hard just to get enough submissions sent in! Shame I live so far away from all the action!

Thanks Vlad for your support!

we DO want every aspect of the con to be a success, and because I am an AMV creator, and a big fan of AMV's I have a big interest in the AMV contest and how it's run, which is why I stepped in and took over the operation.

Not because it's not mine, because it's BAD. There's a distinct difference.

Criticism isn't always a bad thing, you should learn to accept it and use it to improve yourself.

And I'm sorry if anything I said was interpreted to be directed at you, as it wasn't intended in that way. It was directed toward the convention, and not at any individual. Many people other than you could have contacted me.

At the same time, nothing HAD to be done in the way that it was done - poeple knew I existed and wanted to help, but were ineffective in communicating with me.

Alas, horse, stick. I'm tired of typing about this.

it's no more simplistic than it was before, and why does it have to be flashy to make it a good website?

You're missing the point.

It's not bad because it's not flashy - it's bad because it's poorly laid-out and has an unituitive interface, and the graphical elements are unattadtive.

OH! I have an idea Jbone, since all of this just pisses you off so much, why don't you just ignore this thread, and stop putting your comments in here!
