Romance *swoon*
I need a good series to satisfy my girly taste for romance Something like..Fushigi yuugi, Ayashi no Ceres, D.N.Angel, or Hana yori Dango. Dramatic, yet romantic. not shonen-ai tho. Anything?

Chobits has a few shonen qualities, but is a good and unconventional "romance."
Kanon: Not really a shonen anime in any way whatsoever. Not really a true romantic anime either (some episodes are very heavy with romance, others are PURE drama). Characters are VERY KAWAII, almost too kawaii.
Be forewarned however, the first 6 episodes are very slow and to put it bluntly, pretty boring and silly. However, the last 7 episodes contain gratuitous plot twists, powerful revelations, and farewells. It gets very very sad, and it made me cry (I locked my door, ashamed that myself, a former varsity football captain was crying to a "girls" anime).
If the whole series was like the 2nd half, it might be the greatest anime ever (you should still see the 1st half to set up the 2nd).
Love Hina is VERY shonen, but if you havent seen it you should, it contains some very nice romantic moments, even though most of the show is Echi comedy.

Have you checked out all of Rumiko Takahashi's stuff? (I havent but I will)

Also I've seen Maison Ikkoku very high up on a lot of people's top ten animes. I dont know anything about that anime other than that it is a takahashi anime.
I like anime of all kinds, but that's pretty much all I can offer at this point, *damn college workload ; )
