Actually, part of it's also the fact that Turn A, like the majority of Tomino's titles, haven't been made exactly available to Western audiences yet...in fact, as of yet, there hasn't been any announced plan for a Western release of Turn A yet (tis a shame...ah well...we're getting Zeta, so I'll be happy at least to get better quality eps of that)sgi wrote:Thanks there Heero-san for the lovely quote *chuckle*.
But on the subject of Turn A, it is true that it did get the two compilation movies (Earth Light and Moonlight Butterfly). I guess it's popoularity is pretty high up among the other alternate universes. But still it's Western Popoularity is pretty poor, most likely due to a large lack of recognition. Since Tomino is a near unknown in the US and not akin to god as he is to Gundam fans in Japan the fact that it was his first Gundam since V Gundam probally didn't get the big comeback draw of the crowd.
Or something like that...
But yeah...Tomino sadly doesn't have much draw over here (which is prob. why ADV also had to add *shudder* Carl Macek's name to help market Dunbine...why God? Why?)
Ah well...it'll come here in time (now if we could just bring the Tomino cycle full circle and get licensing for L-Gaim and Zambot 3)
