You just have to keep your eyes open Brolly, there are often subtle signs to see if someone likes anime.
For instance, one day I spotted this one girl reading a Gravatation manga, something just told me that she liked anime/manga and I was right.
Another day I saw this girl reading a Japanese dictionary. That in itself was rather iffy, although I believe it was the large Fruits basket picture she had over her notebook that gave her away.
So remember, just keep your eyes open.

But believe me, I have been. I have talked to a couple people who at least seen more than just bits and peices of shows like DBZ, Sailor Moon, or Pokemon. But that is why I say I come up short. There really aren't many that I have found like that.
Again thanks for the advise.

Though, he saw Samurai X's covering disc thing and it says 18+ so he keeps calling it my x-rated movie.

My two best friends (a girl and my boyfriend) love anime, and they're the ones who got me more deeply interested in it -- I would never have watched Cowboy Bebop if not for my boyfriend, who loves anime and Hikaru Utada, and my girl friend is always introducing me to new anime. As a matter of fact, it was she that brought me to this site.
My other friends think it's all gay, but we have other things in common.

Well as for me ... some of my friends like anime just like everyone else and when im with them, which is most of the time, we have great conversations about anime and all the stuff that is incorporated in anime, like AMV's, soundtracks, etc ... some of my other friends dont really care much about it because they havent seen any good ones, yet some think that anime is to childish for them ... but i dont care, it still like anime ...
