the org banners...
ok maybe it's jsut late or something and i'm not thinking striaght but these banners are begining to piss me off >.<
all the new ones suck, they have sucked for a while. Occasionaly a good one comes by, like a newer one i just saw. "Strive for Something Great" and "Never Give Up". That's insperational, it's like "Hey, that's my motto, that makes me feel good about being an AMV creator." Then there are the other ones where they show premeire crashing... ok first off that's ghey. It crashes cuase you don't know how to use it. Second, what the hell does that have to do with the website? "premeire is an editing program we use and it crashes" is a ghey responce. Then for the past few weeks i keep seeing the same damn banner, that or it's been modified a little. WTF people!! it didn't get through the first time, stop being ghey and let go!
Seriously tho, am i the only one who thinks that the banners people are making are crap? i'm not saying they look like crap... in fact some of those have the sexiest pixels i've ever seen. but they have no relation to the website nor do they relate to anything about AMVs! To me a banner is supposed to show what the site is about. ok, ok so those banners i was mentioning earlier technicly have nothing to do with amvs either... but screw that, it's inspirational. Your working hard on an AMV and your just about to throw it all away cuase you are having problems and then you goto the site, and you see the banner "Never Give Up". If i was haiving probs and saw that, i would be "HELL YEA BABY!!!". and then "Strive for Something Great" is like saying "stop your bitching about euphoria being so good and that you can't make something better, and go make amvs the best you can". if your last video wasn't so great... go make a better one. still not good, make a better one. INSPIRATION!!!!
So i urge you all! STOP MAKING GHEY BANNERS!!! This site is about amvs and a place where the community can get to gether online, not premiere crashing.

MODS: not sure where this would go, so move it to the right place if it needs to be.

Oh and i forgot to ad my rant about the bad reviews. WTF!!! so what if you have a bad review... there is a reason for it! if someone says your video sucks or isn't that great, you work on what you did wrong! no one is perfect and no one will like your video like another person does. Example, Euphoria, is the "best" video according to the score ratings. This mean people have given it good reviews. now there are people out there who hate this video for what ever reasons and could/have given it a bad review, but i don't think koop will complain about it. you people are using the banners to conplain about your reviews. i think there is only 1 banner that has to do with ops. don't you think with the amount that comes through that you'll get the hint? NO ONE LIKES THEM!!! try doing something different, like use the op thing to express the need to improve yourself in a banner. bet you who ever makes that banner, it will go through and win enough votes to stay.
Come on people, be original!

I saw a few banners that were really inspirational. I don't quite get the ones that just have a chick with huge tatters on them.
What about the one with the picture of WarCraft 3? A lot of these just get in because they're pretty.
But some of these, whether it's someone complaining about not getting enough reviews or someone's video editing program crashing, is a part of the site, it happens here so why leave it out? Apparently people can relate to them. Filling up that banner space with only banners that have inspirational quotes and sayings would be, I guess, corny and boring.
