i don't think anyone would have a problem with me using a spanish equivalent... but sadly, i can't think of any good english equivalent that means the same as anime and is just as easy to say... same goes for manga... i don't like saying graphic novels... it's too long... i call american ones comic books because chances are, that's what they are... although batman is not usually that funny, but it's still widely accepted as a comic book series... complex this issue is
