I always had trouble ripping Kenshin. I don't know what's up with those DVDs.
But anyway, the error looks like it's saying there is a scratch on the DVD or it's dirty, so try cleaning it.
But then again, that's just a guess.

Not the dreaded Input/Output error!
It sounds to me like there might be something wrong with the drive, not the disk...
Are you actually running SCSI? I'd be suprised, but DVD Decrypter seems to thinks so, which may be half your problems.. I don't know how to read it's code, so maybe it's just saying "SCSI:False" but it looks like it's reporting a SCSI drive, and I don't know too many consumer level people who would actually have one.
It's also possible that it might be the disk, and it can't find the "start" of it.. Due to odd encoding or something.. Hence the report of the seek time. (the head moving back and forth looking for a position).
In case you aren't a uber-geek: Double check the settings and make sure the correct drive is selected. It seems to think you're running a different I/O setting than what is probably really running. Also try a disk you know works.

Err.. Or dirt. yeah..eheh.
I noticed after that it's reporting for all I/O methods, so my SCSI rant was probably nothing... SQ is right; it just gave up trying to read the disk. Dirty disk, lense, or as SQ mentioned also having trouble reading them, the manufacturer may have used a crappy press to have them done..
Sorry for the over-complicated explanation.

Yeah, it's definatly the drive then... As a last ditch effort, eject the tray and give a good blow inside (make sure you don't spit ^_^).
SCSI (or scuzzy as it's pronounced) is just a another I/O method, like IDE (IDE is what you hook your hard drives and CD/DVD drives too using that fat ribbon cable). It's a faster method, and allows for a lot more devices to be placed on the same port (Called daisey chaining because you and link again and again.)
It's also a royal pain in the ass, known for f*cking up machines and confusing programs. The cost of SCSI devices are usually 150 to 200% more than a IDE too... The only reason you'd use it is to RAID (or stripe) several drives together. Basiclly, hook up 4 drives and make the computer think it's one big drive. That way you get transfer's 4 times faster. That's how you capture REALLY high rez video (like HD, which is about a 4 gigs a minute)
Course, SATA is changing all that, but I'm sure you've had your fill now.. *crazy geek laughter*

Try forceapsi
I had a problem where my dvd programs including dvd decryptor wouldn't recognize my drive and it fixed it.
Dark4554:
I have a pci card for additional IDE devices and the drives connected to it show up as scsi. (I bought it before my similar problem.)

You wouldn't happen to have that drive hooked up to a designated IDE raid controller on your MB do you? That alone would be enough to confuse the shit out of most dvd handling software (IE burning, ripping, movie playing software) ,if it even found the drive at all, just due to the non standard way that it would have to be accessed. If you're unsure, try moving the DVD drive to a different IDE port, or even slaving it off of a HD if you must for testing purposes.LightningCountX wrote:I tried the program and it didnt work. I tried cleaning the rom drive and that didnt work either. Everytime i try to playback a dvd or a cd the whole computer freezes. Does anyone know what I can do?
