Anime Expo

If you are going to Anime Expo, and have not registered, be warned. The registration line is ridicualously long this year. Wait time for both pre-reg and non-reg is going to be measured in the hours.

AMV contest was held. Computer that had the entries on it got destroyed before the event, which led to a one hour delay while another computer rendered and made the contest DVD. Sorry, I don't have the entry list. I'm sure someone will post it soon.

I have heard witness accounts that Man Faye was arrested for indecent exposure on Saturday and is banned from the convention.

I wish I'd known that before I got there on friday morning. That place was a cattle pen. What were there, 5 guys going all the registration?
Anyway, if you are still going, it's still messed up, but at least there are less lines, mainly because most people already have their badges.

I saw man-faye there too.. ack. I didn't need to see what he was doing with those bananas either.
Build a man a fire, and he will be warm for a night. Set a man on fire, and he will be warm for the rest of his life.

It was funny how Man-Faye was forced to wear a trenchcoat the whole con.

This Toonzone thread contains photos of the Man-Faye incident complete with captions ("I'm the mean security guy! Rrrr. I'm tough! I'll eat your kids!").

When Man Faye was walking down the registration lines, there was a domino effect of groans.

i was on the brink of tears on the 4th HOUR of sitting the pre-reg line friday, from 1030 - 1:50pm....i couldn't believe that. ax totally sucked on friday for that reason. bsides the other line we waited in for the amv contest, and i never found out how to get my comp tickets after getting my friend to do it while i sat in pre-reg. he asked 5 different people, including the operations director, who didn't have a clue. luckily we had another pal with us who went back to the open voucher lines three different times.

i'd only go again if they figure their crap out. that was just ridiculous.
