How would I add an animated logo to my video?

I was wondering how to add an animated image to a video like the MTV logo on MTV. I can make the animation in photoshop or flash I just need help on adding it to the video. What I'm really trying to do is add a cool animated bar like thing on the bottom of the video to display the name of the person I'm interviewing for this news broadcast project I plan on doing.

Vdmod has a few logo plug-ins
i assume you already have vdub
