I'm not addressing the elements of the show, it's the writing/directing/pacing that makes it generic. Slow & heartfelt scene, insert lame joke, make someone blush, insert bout of clumsiness in order to facilitate transformation of characters. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood for it.

The first episode just felt more inspired, which is usually how things go since that's where anyone with a tight budget spends most of their resources. The parts where it cut to beeping and a deadly galnce from the "psychic chick" were well timed and priceless.

What is wrong with some people here?
A. Furuba is NOT a harem anime.
B. It contains NO fan service AT ALL.
C. It's a "Slice of Life" anime, what did you expect?
D. The only thing perverted is Shigure and he's so harmless that it doesn't even matter.
E. It IS 26 episodes long, damn them for ending it.

Yes, I saw it a LONG time ago and it's one of my favorites...

I'd advise yout to keep watching because episode 8 is my favorite episode of the entire series!

Anybody know if there're any plans to animate another season? I know that it's probably the oldest rumor in the book... but hey, they finally created an Ah! My Goddess TV series. So why not Furuba?

I take offense at point D. I consider myself a very hetero male, but Ayame is my 150% favorite character in this show, and he doesn't qualify as perverse?

I think a 13 ep or an OVA would be good at the end, but not another 26 eps. But overall, fruits is a really good series. And one of the best english dubs I've ever heard.

Oh, please.
You can't possibly equate Shigure with Ayame.
Shigure is a "good-hearted" HENTAI with an affinity for HS girls while Ayame only jokes with Shigure and Hotori.
It’s not the same and really don't believe Ayame is perverse at all...

Even when he wears a wedding dress.
The Sohma's are interesting people with a dark past; even the ecchi jokes have pain behind them...
