That's because there's already enough mods.
The only mods needed before were fro the aoley-anime-based forums, because they were so full of spam.

Since TJ was around and actually read the GA forum, that's why they got him.

That's the reson not many people are made mods nowadays.

Good work Mr. Jones. It can be quite a challenge to speak up when doing so can paint a big target on your chest. I hope that people appreciate your daring.
