(Actually I am more of a poet than a music video creator. Still, I try.)
I started fooling around with anime way back. It wasn't until Tenchi that I really fell in love. This has led me deeper and deeper into anime. Anime calls to my heart and my soul. It has some of the deepest characters I have ever seen. It explores every aspect of human experience and wanders far into the depths of imagination. I love high drama and lowbrow comedy.
I was fortunate enough to be awarded one of the Golden Asuka Music Video Awards at Nan Desu Kan 8 in Colorado, September 2004
Here is a bit of my philosophy. It explains why I chose the name Storyteller:
Storytellers have one great story inside of them. The storyteller must make the effort to tell their story many times, in many different ways, to get it right. The story is never told perfectly. The effort to express is the never-ending artistic struggle. Those storytellers who grow the most get closer and closer to fully expressing the story that is inside of them. If they are fortunate then they will have the opportunity to express their story in such a way that moves the world.
Some of my creative heroes include the animator Hayao Miyazaki, the author Terry Pratchett, the mythologist Joseph Campbell and the psychologist Carl Jung.
