I beleive I replied to something simular to this topic before, but scratch that. I just want to know why people steal others footage? I mean I know I am not a great AMV maker, and most I have made I have never upload because they are so awful. I guess its okay if it is an unedited part, but something that is edited is wrong. I am just seeing I don't realyl see the benfit. You steal what someone else does and you like it will only mean others would have liked it and then hated yours for having their footage. So, I just don't get the point !

In some - rare - cases, the person hasn't seen the original anime, so he doesn't realize he's taking cuts added by the creator of the video. If they're seamless (smooth) cuts and crossfades, he'll probably think they're that way in the anime - so he uses them without knowing any better. For him, vids are a source of footage just like dvds are for others. He steals the footage because that's all it is to him - footage, free and easy to take, requiring no effort for a quick collection to make videos from.

I am just seeing I don't realyl see the benfit. You steal what someone else does and you like it will only mean others would have liked it and then hated yours for having their footage. So, I just don't get the point !

Only those who know the original vid will recognize the footage (or those familiar with the editing program the person is using, and the anime he's using). And often with fast videos the cuts will line up well with many songs - meaning the newbie can take a formatted video and sync it up to his own song much better than he probably could if he started from scratch - luck alone will get a fast paced video lining up with a fast song. Then there are effects, lots of reasons to take effects since they require not only effort, but creativity as well (in some cases).

A lot of people make videos for the reviews - that positive feedback, a need to be liked, appreciated, complimented. For them, stealing a video is a quick source of pleasure so long as no one realizes it wasn't their work. They don't get off on the pride of having made something. They get off on the ego boost of having people gush about the video that they put under their names.

Now I'm not angry anymore against those who steal my amvs, cause actually I know what is my work, it's just a problem between me and me and if I'm proud of my amvs (I'm not ) well I don't pay attention of those which make amvs with mines.

Ehhmmmm..... right, it took me some time to read through it all, bad spelling and no punctuation that makes sense, makes posts very hard to read.
It's true that no one here knows me, atleast knows me personal, otherwise they would have atleast rectified the gender thing you misinterpreted, andbeing a rapist is kind of hard when you don't have the equipment to rape someone with. And i'm actually not gay, just bisexual, so only half points there.
I do have a frigging life, i go to college, go to the movies with my friends (i have a lot of them actually, that might be in contrast to you, seeing how you behave, it would be impossible to make friends that way), go to pubs and have a general good time. Besides that, i make AMVs because that is fun. And i like watching other peoples AMVs and when i like it (or really hate it) i try to leave an opinion, just to be nice. But there are a few things that really annoy me, and one of those is downloaded footage, and if you use that, and i really hate the video, then i will probebly leave an opinion for you.

So, there you have it, all cleared up and with a lot less spelling errors and better puntuation, so that people can actually understand what is being said.
