Why not just by both Argentosoma and Gasaraki? Sure it would cost alot of money and it would mean that you'l have to hold back on buying Half Life 2 for a while, but at least you woent get the desire to spend $600 on a new vid card.

Have you been secretly spying on me or something?

(that's pretty much exactly what I did instead of getting any anime this season...)

I haven't seen any of them, but by recommendations - I think I'd like Gasaraki the most out of them. I've also seen it quite cheap lately, too.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Alright, so far i've almost gotten a definate NO on FFU... so I may just ignore that for now.
As for Argentosoma and Gasaraki, its almost half and half.... so I'm gonna need some more feedback.
If anyone else has seen either one, please give me ur feedback.

I've seen Gasaraki and it is one of the few series that I just had to keep watching to the end. Politically and environmentaly it seems all to possible, the rest is scifi and well done. Good action scenes, good caracter developement, good intriuge. In case you're wondering I would recomend this series.
Where did you say I'm going?.... And what am I doing in a handbasket?

Final Fantasy - Poor plot, characters etc. Personally I wouldn't even recommend renting it.

Argent Soma - I just recently bought this. I found it quite entertaining though towards the end the plot becomes a bit sketchy. It goes pretty well into the character's personalities. A bit over emotional at times.

Garasaki - Just bought this one. Tell you what I think when I recieve it.

I wasn't very fond of Garasaki... I personally think its overrated, much like Evangelin (face it! it wasn't that good!) was/is.

It depends on the kind of Anime you like... I personally LOVED FFU. I don't know why so many people seem to dislike it. I assume its becasue it doesn't have anything to to with the games... which is ridiculous since the games never had anything to do with eachother until recently. It has all the good FF elements, even a guy named Cid! 8-) It's just that people expected too much, which too was kinda dumb, since this was made AFTER FF:SW which, as good as it was, wasn't that great. FFU, however, IS AWESOME! It's just a VG anime rather than an anime that makes a VG spin-off. Think Wild Arms. The WA anime was good, but not as good as the games... why? Cause the games came first... thats the only reason.

Anyway; my vote would be: Final Fantasy Unlimited, just be ready to deal with the first two or three episodes as they are kinda slow, but so are the beginning of each of the games (except IV and VI... and maybe VII  )

Actually I've never played a single FF game. So I had no expectation of it being like the game. I based my judgement on it according to plot, character development and what not. Probably my biggest complaint about the series is the "transformation" type scenes. They waste practically 5 minutes on every ep for his gun to transform and to load the bullets. :?

I own the DVD's and I still think that the show is over-rated/hyped. But that's completely besides the point.

I would still say go with Gasaraki. In my opinion, I thought that the action sequences in it were done very well, and are better than Argentosoma's (although I haven't seen the entire series yet, so who knows  )
