New Logo Contest

Hey All,

The logo contest <a href="/members/logo/">official rules</a> and <a href="/members/logo/logo_upload.php">entry upload page</a> are now operational. The logo submission deadline is Feb. 14, 2005.

Just two more questions:

Do we have to submite 2 files of the same logo?
One on "gif" and the other in a zip file?

We can submite as many logos as we want... right?

Yes. The first file should be an example image of the final logo. The other file should be the source material used to make the final logo.

The example image can be gif or jpeg. The source material file can be zip or rar or tar or any other commonly used compressed archive.

Yes, you may submit as many as you like. The logos should be different in design from each other. This means that if they were black-and-white, they should look different. Color variations do not count as a new entry.

What exactly do you mean by Source Material?

Images really can't come out of the air. Something must have been used to create the image. The source material is the editable file that was generated by whatever was used. Generally this is the Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, or other graphic editing program source file. The resulting gif or jpeg image is a renedered version of the source material.

Since I only joined last year, is it possible to see what the other logos looked like? Is there a link somewhere? And if this was mentioned in an earlier post, can you please excuse me? I don't remember seeing it. thx.

The 2002 logo had two parts: the logo text and the "see note".
