Connecting a PS2 to a computer?

Does this mac have a video capture device in it, for starters?

well... there are ways to use your monitor instead of your TV isnt there? if you can do this, then im pretty sure you could use a program like fraps or some other recording software to record while you played.

im not 100% certain that you can use your monitor instead of TV but i think you can.

Well that's usually done through a capture device. Again, I'm not familiar with Mac's - who knows, they might come equipped with them as standard (which I doubt, but eh...) If you do have one, I'm sure there is a capture program supplied with it. If you do not have one, get one; that would be the way of getting the video into your computer.

Firewire capture devices should work with a Mac. See the product pages for companies like Canopus and ADS Technologies.

you can extract the cutscene out of armored core. pop the dvd in your dvd rom and browse the folder for .pss files

then get pss_demux

and demux. you got yourself a lossless copy.

you can demux with tmpgenc, but you'll get the adx audio....

i just noticed you're on a mac, i'm not sure that pss_demux will work, propably not. you could try to demux with other tools, since you're using a different audio, i presume

Well, actually, there are the intros and other cutscenes here in a topic at my main forum HERE But they are .wmv files so I still can't use them right now, does anyone here know how I can use these? Like a file changer or something? I wanted to learn how to hook up the PS2 directly, so I could get some nice in-game footage of me and my friends battling, but I guess I can put that on hold for a little while, at least untill I find out what I'm doing a little better...
So if anyone can help me out with using these, i'd appreciate it a lot...
