You may notice that there is no longer a Best Simplicity category in the finals.
This was a judgement call we made due to the finallists being honestly too similar in No-effects and Best Simplicity and the results for no-effects were much more in the spirit of these categories (as they included some videos not featured much elsewhere).

Thus, I'll vote for the Azuboogie in this category

Just out of curiosity, what were the four finalists for the cut category?AbsoluteDestiny wrote:You may notice that there is no longer a Best Simplicity category in the finals.

Personally I think we would've been better off getting rid of the No-Effects category instead of the Simplicity category. I thought that what we're trying to award is the subtlety of any effects used, not their complete absence.
However, I do realize that "simplicity" is a bit vague, which would put such a category at risk in the hands of voters who are (as we have seen this year) easily confused.

Correct me if I misinterpreted, but I beleive AD had said that the only reason no effects was chosen instead of simplicity is because the videos nominated better fit that category of the 2.Jasper-Isis wrote: Personally I think we would've been better off getting rid of the No-Effects category instead of the Simplicity category.
