Oh, and I wonder if anyone could give me some opinions on the banner I made in my signature. It's still pending to be voted on, so I don't know its fate- but I'd like to get some actual feed back about it. While the anonymous system they have set up right now is nice, it doesn't allow for people to learn where they went wrong...

The light pink text on white background is a little hard to read. I'd add a drop shadow or something.

Yeah, you're right- it does look a bit fuzzy. Thanks for the input ^_^

with photoshop, i tend to be a whore when it comes to using stroke, i use it too much, but it does make the text readable alot more often.

If you mean this one, like I assumed because I regularly vote 'unworthy' on every banner offered for voting, then no, it actually made it through. I do see it come up every now and then.

I ONLY VOET 4 ANY BANAR WITH FANCY TEXT AND A CUTE GIRL ON IT THOSE R TEH BEST!

j/k - No offense to our busy banner makers, but there's a lot of crap out there. I try to look for banners that are well laid-out, pertain well to the site, don't conform to the cliche, and are of the utmost quality and style. In other words, ones that actually had some thought put into them. :P

I tend to look for originality and/or (usually "and") a very clean and artsy look (which, depending on my mood, could be either minimalist or full blown 20 layer Photoshop time sinks). I tend to vote often and usually have about a 5% or less worthy rate. In the last few weeks, I’ve gotten 2 people to join the site that have begun to vote for banners with as exacting standards as I hold (just with their personal tastes)... hopefully this will create a trend.
