5th August is a perfect deadline, I will participate if I get my video finished in time :)

I remember you talking about this convention, I'd really like to come, I don't know if it will be possible though since it is very far away...

Once you get to Paris, it's not so far. 1 or 2 hour more in car. For those who want to come to the event, don't hesitate to ask, we will indicate you how you can join.

I want to see that car, needs to be one with 400 km/h topspeed at least to make it in that time haha :P
Actually it's 500 km from here to Paris and another 500 to Lorient (assuming you mean that city on the west coast) but yeah, we'll see what we can do. It acutally depends on how my financial state is around that time

Indeed. I don't really know what kind of car isitv has, but it probably flies...
Anyway I'm happy that this contest happens :P

Istiv's car is of course a swordfish :). I was a bit careless when i precise the duration for the travel. It is effectively around 5 hours (indicated by mappy).

Interesting. I thought about entering an Internationl convention overseas, maybe this sounds like a good one to try. My only hesitation has always been that I'm just worried about the cost of shipping and how long it would take until my entry got there (hopefully in one piece). FTPs submissions were made for conventions like this.

Sounds like something interesting, even though I probably won't be able to attend. I'm bookmarking the rules page, going to see if I can produce something that is decent enough for it :)

Sorry, I missed that link. Anyway, I thought this line was funny..."The contest is open to all, except to professional video makers,..." . How they hell would they know if somebody was a "professional"? I've been making amvs for 4 years and doing video/film editing for school and work. I guess that disqualifies me?
