If so, which format would be better to sumbit it in?
I always go with DVD-R since +R barely works on my own player.

Yeah, a video DVD that plays like a commerially bought DVD. Either format should be fine. They'll probably put it in a computer anyways and rip your footage off. Play of different formats on stand alone DVD players vary by manufacturer. http://www.videohelp.com/dvd

It's always better and easier to send them the original editable video files on either a CD or DVD data disc. Or at least include the source files in a personal folder on the DVD.

I'm tryin again this year, however my chances of entering a really good video this year was shattered a month ago when my computer had an error where I had to do a System Recovery, I was unable to back up anything as a result and it later crashed. I Lost everything! !@_@! Fortunately on my other back ups I had a project I dumped long ago but never got rid of the disk ::or erased::, so i'm lucky! I'll revive the project just for this cause its an emergency. Also, i'm not sure how stingy they'll be for anime sources, but I have another AMV I made around this time last year, but I didnt submit it because I already had three that went in last year. Tell me, would my "Crimson" vid be acceptable? I'm just askin all ya honestly.

Ya know what? Forget about that question, im gonna go ahead and submit it anyway. Cause I lost my projects for this year, but I still have one I can enter. That one, of course, is Crimson. I wasn't goin to enter it at all to AX this year, but I dunno, they say a lot of things happen for a reason. Maybe my computer crashed so that I could use that video, I just dont know. But regardless, I always aim to enter AX's AMV Contest every year since I was able to. And that one project I've given up on, because everyone knows this, there's no point in rushing. I usually submit 2 videos to a contest depending on what the rules permit, but this year I'm gonna just submit that one, "Crimson" should do ok. I mean, even for a vid with just cinematic footage from the game, I did pretty well. I knew I really did well when it won "Best Technical Video" at Nekocon 7. First ever AMV Award i've won. Maybe, just maybe, this vid has a chance to get into the finals at AX 2005. I'm not sure, but in the end.........to hell with it! I'm submittin it! Same to everyone entering, and good luck with their videos too. Enjoy!

P.S. - Suberunker, HurQlez, I downloaded Faithless and Still Preoccupied by 1985, you two did really good with your vids. I'll be lookin forward to them at the contest.

Anyone else taken note of the posted schedule here?

Having the AMV Contest on Friday may do horrible things to attendance. On the bright side, no worries about being able to get a ticket (not that there really have been in the past).

It won't, it's usually extremely packed.

If they're gonna have the AMV Contest the first night, that would also mean there'll also be an AMV Creator panel as well, last year we got our tickets after attending that, all who submitted their vids.
