Then we might have to limit the non-anime MV's to ones that we'll actually be screening at the convention and have the copyright to screen publicly for the weekend.
The PROXY idea is a good one as well. We'd have to receive notice of who the AMV creator's PROXY is before the convention to make sure that some random person doesn't just come in and claim the prizes and take them home for themselves.
What do you think?

Yes, generally the person entering the AMV fills out the proxy and signs it giving the named person authority to pick uo the prizes.. best is if he sends a copy in and then the proxy brings his copy and all you have to do is match them up to confirm the person is there to pick up the prizes... Safest and more fair way of doing it... Lost of contest do it like that and if you are not there or do not have a proxy, the prizes usaully get donated elsewhere (some events do sent out a certificate or trophy though)

Yeah. The "you have to attend to be in the contest thing" is a def killer. I'll be entering this year though. My sister is paying for my tickets. ^_^\/

Submit to Connecticon!
I hope a lot of people will submit their videos this year because it was a shame no one sent in any last year! And it's all going to be viewed at the NEW convention center! It's fun to see other people's creations run wild and have fun with it!
